Description |

Pocket MIDI is a simple MIDI monitoring tool for both Windows and Mac OSX platforms. Pocket MIDI is a freeware for commercial, non-profit or private use. You can download the Pocket MIDI utility at www.morson.jp/pocketmidi-webpage. Pocket MIDI is Copyright © MORSON JAPAN Co., Ltd, all rights reserved.

Pocket MIDI is suited tool for sending / receiving of MIDI System Exclusive messages necessary for CHD Elektroservis products setting and control. Necessary SysEx data can be created simply by the CHD SysEx Messages Generator dedicated to your interface (available at Manuals & Support Software page). The hexadecimal MIDI SysEx messages created in the CHD SysEx Messages Generators are in plain text format. The text can not be saved as a *.syx or *.mid file directly, hence a text to SysEx capable utility is needed.

Setting-up the Computer and Software |

  • Download the Pocket MIDI utility and install it in your computer.
  • Select the MIDI interface Input and Output to ports where the CHD device is connected to (drop-down menu Views → MIDI Settings → Input Port / Output Port).
  • Connect a CHD device accordingly to the figure below.
(Note: Not all CHD devices allow bi-directional MIDI communication – some of them have only MIDI input. That devices cannot transmit response to “Request” type SysEx messages.)
