General Parameters Help ^^^^^

Select Device ID
This value must conform to chosen number of MIDI Channel. You can select "Universal" value too - a message will be accepted by any SAVVY device anytime and independently on MIDI Channel number in that case.

Select Message Type
- "Initialize" message type is command for initialization procedure for general parameters memory bank. Immediately after that message is received by the device, values of all general parameters in the memory bank of the device will be set to default factory values.
- "Request Data" message type is inquiry for the actual content of the general parameters memory bank. Immediately after that message is received by the device, it sends the Bulk Dump Load message as response.
- "Load Data" message type stores selected values of all general parameters to the memory bank of the device.

GLOBAL PARAMETERS

MIDI Channel
This parameter sets MIDI channel which is used for the instrument control. All MIDI Channel messages are then received and transmitted on selected MIDI channel only.

Use Bank Select Command
This parameter enables or disables the Bank Select LSB MIDI command (i.e. CC #32) receiving and transmitting. This command is used for remote tone bank changes.

MIDI Errors Auto Reset
If the parameter is "On" and some error in MIDI communication occurs, the communication is reset and the device continues its working.
If the parameter is "Off" and some error in MIDI communication occurs, the device stops its working and it indicates an error status.

Display Brightness
The parameter sets brightness of display of the device (0 for minimum, 15 for maximum).

Tone Number Image
This parameter enables to choose in what form numbers of tones will be displayed (from 0 to 895 or from 1 to 896).

Remember Last Tone Number
If the parameter is "Yes", the device remembers last selected tone number after switching off.
If the parameter is "No", the device always starts with tone number 1 after reset.

CTRL > INST DATA TRANSFER PARAMETERS

Transfer Pgm Chng from Cntrl to Instr
If the parameter is "Yes", transfer of Program Change command is enabled from the controller to the instrument.

Accept Pgm Chng from Cntrl
If the parameter is "Yes", the device changes its tone bank everytime when a Program Change command is received from the controller. Number of newly selected tone bank conforms to value of the received Program Change command.

Send Manual Tone Slct as Pgm Chng
If the parameter is "Yes", Program Change MIDI command is sent to the instrument everytime when tone bank of the device is changed manually (by buttons on front panel). Value of the Program Change command conforms to number of newly selected tone bank.

Cache Modifications in Edit Buffer
If the parameter is "Yes", setting of all modifications controllers is cached in edit buffer of the converter.

Cache Random Setting in edit buffer
If the parameter is "Yes", all parameters changed with the random setting controller are cached in edit buffer of the converter.

INST > CTRL DATA TRANSFER PARAMETERS

Send Manual Tone Slct as Pgm Chng
If the parameter is "Yes", Program Change MIDI command is sent to the controller everytime when tone bank of the device is changed manually (by buttons on front panel). Value of the Program Change command conforms to number of newly selected tone bank.

Send All CCs (Tone Change)
If the parameter is "Yes", the device transmits all CCs assigned to tone parameters when tone number is changed (manually by button on front panel or by APR SysEx message or Program Change command from the instrument).

Send One CC (Parameter Change)
If the parameter is "Yes", the device transmits CC assigned to a tone parameter everytime when the parameter is changed from the instrument (by IPR SysEx message).

Select Device ID for Bulk Dump
This parameter selects Device ID number for all Bulk Dump messages transmitted from the converter.

SYSEX MESSAGE OPTIONS

SysEx Msg - Select Hex Byte Form
Text form of generated hexadecimal bytes can be chosen by this select-box. Requested form must be selected before "Generate" button is pressed.

SysEx Msg - Select Delimiter
Delimiter between generated hexadecimal bytes can be chosen by this select-box. Requested delimiter must be selected before "Generate" button is pressed.

Button - Generate
This button generates SysEx message in dependence on selected message type (see above).
- If "Initialize" or "Request" messages are selected, values of GLOBAL, CTRL > INST and INST > CTRL DATA TRANSFER parameters need not to be set - they are not significant for that message.
- If "Load" message is selected, values of all parameters must be always set before that message creating.

Button - Reset
The button clears the text field and sets all select-boxes to default values.

TONE PARAMETERS ASSIGNING

Assign CC number to Tone Parameters control (24x) *)
Each of the instrument sound parameters can be controlled individually via MIDI Control Changes. The "Assigning" parameters assign specific CC Nr. (from 0 to 126) to individual parameter of sound. If you don't want to control a sound parameter, assign "None" to this sound parameter.

MODIFICATIONS ASSIGNING

Assign CC number to Tone Modifications control (5x) *)
Each of the instrument tone modification can be controlled individually via MIDI Control Changes. The "Assigning" parameters assign specific CC Nr. (from 0 to 126) to individual tone modification. If you don't want to control a tone modification, assign "None" to this modification.

SPECIAL FUNCTIONS ASSIGNING

Assign CC number to Random Setting control (1x) *)
The random setting function sets random values of a tone parameters. It depends on value of assigned CC which parameters will be set randomly:

CC Value Controlled Circuit
8~15 DCO without modulations
16~23 DCO fully
56~63 VCF without modulations
64~71 VCF fully
72~79 VCA
80~87 Envelope
104~111 LFO and CHORUS
120~127 All tone parameters
All others n/a

The "Assigning" parameter assigns specific CC Nr. (from 0 to 126) to this function. If you don't want to control a randon setting, assign "None" to this function.

Remarks *):
- Each of the instrument's parameters / modifications / random setting functions can be controlled individually via a MIDI Control Changes (CC). The "Assigning" parameter assigns specific CC Nr. (from 0 to 126) for the parameter / function control.
- If you don't want to control a parameter or a function, assign "None" to this parameter / function.
- Chosen (assigned) CCs are used for parameters / modifications functions / random setting control only - they are no longer transferred to the instrument!
- One CC number can be used for control of more parameters / functions simultaneously.
- Please see user manual of operational system for more info
