System Parameters Help ^^^^^

Select Device ID
This value must conform to chosen value of system parameter "MIDI Channel". You can select "Universal" value too - a message will be accepted anytime and independently on "MIDI Channel" parameter in that case.

Select Message Type
- "Data Load" message type changes the values of all parameters in system memory bank.
- "Data Request" message type is inquiry for the actual content of system memory bank - immediately after the message receiving the device sends the Bulk Dump Data Save message as reply.

Parameter - DMX Channels Used
This parameter selects total number of used outputs (DMX Channels).
Remark: available range of the parameter value depends on another system parameters setting! If selected value is out of acceptable range, it will be corrected by the converter during the message receiving.

Parameter - DMX Shift
This parameter selects number of first used DMX channel.
Remark: available range of the parameter value depends on another system parameters setting! If selected value is out of acceptable range, it will be corrected by the converter during the message receiving.

Parameter - MIDI Channel
This parameter sets MIDI channel which is used for the device control. All MIDI messages are then received on selected MIDI channel only.

Parameter - MIDI Mode
The parameter selects MIDI Channel command type for DMX outputs control.

Parameter - MIDI Shift
The parameter selects first "Note", "CC" or "NRPN" number (in dependence on MIDI Mode setting) which is used for the device control.
Remark: available range of the parameter value depends on another system parameters setting! If selected value is out of acceptable range, it will be corrected by the converter during the message receiving.

Parameter - Master CC Nr.
The parameter selects number of MIDI CC which will be used as "Master" controller or it disables the "Master" function.

Parameter - Blackout CC Nr.
The parameter selects number of MIDI CC which will be used as "Blackout" controller or it disables the "Blackout" function.

Parameter - RAC CC
The parameter enables or disables receiving of RAC (Reset All Controllers) MIDI command.

Parameter - Autoreset
The parameter enables automatic reset if an error in MIDI communication occurs.

Parameter - LCD Contrast
The parameter sets contrast of device's display (0 for minimum, 32 for maximum).

SysEx Msg - Select Hex Byte Form
Text form of generated hexadecimal bytes can be chosen by this select-box. Requested form must be selected before a "Generate" button is pressed.

SysEx Msg - Select Delimiter
Delimiter between generated hexadecimal bytes can be chosen by this select-box. Requested delimiter must be selected before a "Generate" button is pressed.

Button - Generate
This button generates Bulk Dump Data Request or Bulk Dump Data Load SysEx message in dependence on selected message type:
- If "Data Request" message is selected, message for request to the actual content of system memory bank is generated. Values of parameters need not to be set. They are not significant for that message.
- If "Data Load" message is selected, message for permanent change of content of system memory bank is generated. Values of all parameters must be set before that message creating.

Button - Reset
The button clears the text field and sets all select-boxes to default values.

Select Output Nr.
Selection of the number of output memory bank to which the data will be stored (Bulk Dump - Data Load message) or from which the data will be read (Bulk Dump - Data Request message). Number of the requested output memory bank must be set before a Bulk Dump Message is generated.

Select Message Type
- "Data Load" message type changes the values of all parameters in a output memory bank.
- "Data Request" message type is inquiry for the actual content of a output memory bank. Immediately after the message receiving the device sends the Bulk Dump Data Save message as reply.

Parameter - Default Value
This parameter sets default value transmitted to selected output after reset of MXC-200.

Parameter - Conversion Curve
This parameter selects conversion curve between input MIDI value and output DMX value:

Curves-Lin

Curves-0/1

Curves-Log

Curves-Exp

Curves-S

Curves-Z

Parameter - Preheat
Minimal DMX value transmitted to selected output can be set by this parameter.

Parameter - Limit
Maximal DMX value transmitted to selected output can be set by this parameter.

Parameter - Accept Master
This parameter allows (or disallows) selected output to be controlled with MASTER controller (or not).

Parameter - Accept Blackout
This parameter allows (or disallows) selected output to be controlled with BLACKOUT controller / external switch (or not).

Display Data Help ^^^^^

Select Device ID
This value must conform to chosen value of system parameter "MIDI Channel". You can select "Universal" value too - a message will be accepted anytime and independently on "MIDI Channel" parameter in that case.

Select Message Type
- "Show Data" message type allows to display own user characters (text) on device's LCD.
- "Clear Data" message type clears the display - spaces are displayed on all positions of the LCD.
- "Cancel" message type cancels displaying of user data on the LCD and returns the LCD to normal working mode.

Set Characters
You can define your own content of device's LCD. ASCII characters with codes from 32 to 125 (see picture below) to be shown are selected in select-boxes. The characters from 1 to 8 will be displayed from left to right on the rows 1 and 2 of the LCD.
These select-boxes are ignored for "Clear Data" and "Cancel" message types.
